We Filed: The Independent Path to the White House is Open

The system said it couldn’t be done, but we’ve officially filed with the FEC as an Independent Presidential Candidate. This is what grassroots power looks like.

The Big Announcement: July 19, 2025

The biggest challenge for any independent candidate is being taken seriously. The moment we officially submitted the paperwork to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) on July 19, 2025, that challenge ended. We filed the Benjamin Cobb for President committee and formally declared our independent run for 2028. This move wasn’t funded by corporate PACs or party bosses; it was fueled entirely by the energy and belief of ordinary people who are tired of the two-party system. The system works hard to lock out voices like ours, but the filing means we are officially on the clock and on the map.

Building the Independent Foundation

Filing with the FEC is more than just a piece of paper; it means we are now a federally recognized campaign, subject to transparency and accountability rules. This gives us the legal foundation we need to move forward with the next critical steps: gathering the volunteer teams and securing the signature petitions necessary to gain ballot access across the country. We aren’t asking for permission to run; we are doing the legal work to earn our place on the ballot.

Voices That Inspire: Stories from the Community

This campaign is built on the belief that a true movement starts at the kitchen table, not in Washington D.C. If you are tired of the broken system and have a story about why you support the “Break The System” platform, whether it’s about economic struggle, career politicians, or the cost of healthcare, we want to hear it. Your voice is our momentum. Send us a message or a video detailing your story, and we will feature the best examples of why this independent movement is necessary.

Fueling the Future: How Your Support Matters

Unlike the major parties, we don’t accept corporate PAC money, meaning every step we take is genuinely powered by the people. Grassroots fundraising—small donations from thousands of individuals—is the only way an independent campaign survives and thrives. Your donation, however small, is not just funding a campaign; it’s buying an inch of independence. It allows us to secure ballot access, put up a single billboard, or print campaign literature. Every dollar goes directly toward breaking the two-party lock.

Staying the Course: Challenges and Lessons Learned

The road to the White House as an independent is intentionally difficult. The laws are rigged for the establishment. Our biggest challenge right now is securing the millions of required signatures for ballot access nationwide. We know the fight is long, but we also know the lessons we learn now—the commitment, the efficiency, the reliance on real people—will be the foundation of a new kind of administration. We are prepared for the challenges because the mission is worth the fight.

The Fight to Break the System

Every step forward, from the official FEC filing to securing our first thousand volunteers, is the result of focused, dedicated work. This section shows you the real campaign: the small team working tirelessly on ballot access, the technology being built to reach voters, and the commitment of the people who fund us. This is the difference between a typical political machine and an independent movement built from the ground up.
